Overnight Winter Warming Shelter

Presque Isle, Maine | November – April

The Seasonal Warming Shelter is a winter overnight program operated by Homeless Services of Aroostook. Open nightly from 7 PM to 7 AM, it provides a safe, warm place for individuals experiencing homelessness during the harsh winter months.

  • Sleeping accommodations — up to 15 beds available each night on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Meals & snacks — guests receive a hot dinner, snacks, and breakfast each day.
  • Hygiene facilities — access to showers and laundry services to help individuals stay clean and comfortable.
  • Clothing support — guests can also access clean clothing as available.

Our Impact

This zero-barrier shelter helps individuals avoid exposure to extreme cold while supporting basic health, dignity, and stability. When possible, guests are also connected with additional services and community resources.
